Yes, i´m a huuuge NGE Fan! I just love that series... it´s so psycho and mindf***ing..... but still awesome and brilliant.
And! It´s also my very first matte painting
I really enjoyed working on it, it´s total fun! The hardest part was to find a fitting image for the picture i had in mind... took me hours.
I used a shot of Tokyo and put Frankfurt´s Skyline in the background. I alos the added the distant hills. I lost the source of the images, but i gotta thank the photographers.
Oh yes, i know the fight happened at night, and NeoTokyo3 looks kinda different, but i didn´t really want to copy the scene, i just wanted to create a realistic scenery.
