"While the rest of the world relies upon water recycling and hydroponics to survive, the Alecion Plains
are last remaining fertile lands in the world. Potable water wells up from springs deep underground and
plants grow unaided by mankind. Many people have seen this as an opportunity and have started homesteads,
farms and ranches in hopes of getting rich by selling ground-grown food. The danger here lies in with the
large and highly organized band of slavers, they often attack farms and homesteads and sell their captured
victims at the slave auctions of Lokoran or to the death pits of Pulse."
